About the Position:

We’re delighted to be engaged exclusively by a leading financial services organisation looking to appoint a Head of Client Asset Oversight (PCF-45).

As a designated PCF-45, you will lead out and oversee their client asset oversight framework and its strategic direction, acting as a pivotal conduit with the wider cross functional senior leadership teams across Risk, Ops, Legal and Compliance.

Deep expertise is required in client asset management planning and overseeing the governance, controls and monitoring of the CAM framework.

Key Responsibilities & Remit:

Strategic Governance: Serving as the designated PCF-45, you will provide the Board and senior stakeholders with independent, expert assurance that safeguarding controls are robust, compliant, and future-proofed.

Framework Governance & Ownership: Lead the design, execution, and continuous enhancement of the Client Asset Management Plan (ensuring it is pro-actively evolving alongside their multi – product and service lines of business and regulatory landscapes.

Ensure strong understanding of the CAM risk matrixes across ops, counterparty, technology platforms. Delivering critical insights for management information (MI) dashboard reports and risk / RAG reports, that empowers board committees to make well informed decisions regarding appropriate risk appetite, process controls and control environments.

Act as our primary liaison with the Central Bank of Ireland, leading out on any regulatory on sites, inspections, audits, and ad-hoc engagements with adept communications and technical authority when conversing with different stakeholders.

Operational Excellence: Drive a culture of "constructive challenge" and “value add” across Operations, Legal, and Risk. Overseeing the investigation of any breaches and ensuring that root cause analysis leads to meaningful, long-term remediation and future mitigation of risk.

The ideal candidate:

  • 8-10 years plus operating at senior leadership level, Director/ Senior Director / SVP within the funds sector.
  • Solid experience in client asset oversight within a complex, regulated financial services environment and strong technical / regulatory knowledge around safeguarding of client assets and the maintenance of a comprehensive CAMP.
  • Deep sectoral knowledge across Funds (Investment  Management or Custody or Trustee) or Prime Broking a/ Investment Banking OR  Regulatory Advisory with solid onsite secondee work ideally. 
  • Adept om translating complex regulatory requirements into actionable business strategy, engaging credibly with CBI and SLT / Board / Committees
  • Strong understanding of governance, risk management, and control frameworks, sound appreciation of end-to-end operational flows and controls  from 1st and 2nd line of defence.
  • Experience updating a CAMP or similar client asset governance/control document
  • Proven track record in managing complex issues, investigations, and remediation activity
