Brightwater Executive is delighted to be retained exclusively by a highly regarded International Professional Services firm in their search for a Head of Operations.

About the Position

Reporting directly to the Country Managing Partner ('CMP'), the Head of Operations will become a trusted business advisor, developing a deep understanding of the dynamics of the Dublin Office, the markets in which it operates and how the firm's strategy applies. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving growth, managing key initiatives, and ensuring efficient operations.

This is a key, senior-level hire who will drive the implementation of the firm's strategy in the next phase, by providing operational management of the Dublin office, including leadership of the Business Services teams, working with the Managing Partner, the Partners and Service Areas.

The Head of Operations will ensure the Dublin Office operates at optimum performance, by providing strategic input and guidance on continual business improvement, business success and development, and the effective operation of the Dublin Office within the firm's international matrix.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support mentor and manage the Dublin office Business Services teams comprising HR, Finance, IT, Marketing & Business Development, Property & Workplace, Knowledge, Secretarial & Administration 
  • Oversee daily operations, manage resources, and ensure efficient service delivery. 
  • Develop and execute strategic plans, align with global initiatives, and foster collaboration across teams. 
  • Contribute to budgeting, financial planning, and performance tracking. 
  • Lead, mentor, and develop teams, focusing on talent management and succession planning. 
  • Drive client satisfaction, foster strong relationships, and identify new business opportunities. 
  • Lead initiatives to explore and implement innovative solutions and services.

Experience/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration or related field
  • 10+ years relevant Senior Management experience within a legal or comparable professional services environment
  • Strong track record in delivering effective operational solutions in international, complex and partnership environments
  • Financially literate and familiar with budget management
  • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines
  • A dynamic and proactive self-starter with strong inter-personal and communications skills and client service focus
