Who are they looking for

They are seeking an portfolio manager experienced in European Equities. The ideal candidate will manage or co-manage a strategy within a dedicated team. This role requires a strong understanding of active management and a commitment to integrating ESG factors into investment decisions.

The successful candidate will join a team of seven professionals and report to the team lead. The team is part of a larger Equity Business Line, with over 70 professionals globally. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player, eager to work with colleagues within the team, the broader business line, and other parts of the organization.

The team is a key part of the Equity Business Line, sharing a strong commitment to fundamental, bottom-up investment philosophies. They utilize both internal fundamental research and ESG research to inform their investment decisions. The team is experiencing rapid growth, providing clients with a compelling equity offering that incorporates a robust ESG framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Portfolio management role on European Equity ESG fund
  • Joining the Equity Solution team, with strong equity background, and ability to combine macroeconomic and ESG criteria into the bottom-up investment process
  • Actively share investment ideas, research, market views etc. with colleagues, contribute to the team internal Investment case database
  • Select equities according to valuation framework, risk-return perspective and input from sector analyst
  • Actively engage in the discussion and the decision process, both internally (within the business line and within company) and externally (with companies, analysts, specialists…)
  • Make the relevant buy or sell decisions
  • Produce and share investment cases
  • Study and use quantitative tools to optimize the portfolio allocation and monitor risk
  • Develop and maintain risk control within the area
  • Collaborate with communication and marketing, both internal and external, to support asset-gathering effort as required.
  • Perform activity in a legal and compliant manner

Experience/Requirements

  • Educational background: (relevant degree at BSc or MSc level) 
  • Experience required:  minimum 5  years’ experience in a similar role
  • CFA designation would be a plus
