About the Position
Initially a 6-month contract, this role reports directly to the Head of Finance (PCF) and will involve a significant level of responsibility, ranging from overseeing financial management, reporting, and controls to supporting the Head of Finance with strategic decision-making. You will lead a diverse finance team of 15 + team members, and oversee all financial processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and group policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the finance team of 15 + in delivering high-quality financial management, including financial reporting, controls, and capital management across the European business.
- Oversee the production and reconciliation of financial information, ensuring all deadlines are met with accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain a strong internal controls environment, mitigating financial risk and ensuring processes align with corporate and regulatory policies.
- Actively manage capital and liquidity across entities, ensuring returns are optimised while mitigating risks.
- Lead efforts to simplify and automate finance processes
- Collaborate with internal and external partners, including tax, legal, risk, and audit teams, to ensure compliance and optimise practices.
- Oversee payroll, pension, and benefits management across the region
- Champion diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunities within the finance team
Experience/Requirements
- A proven track record in leading finance teams and delivering accurate, reliable financial reporting. 10 + years PQE within insurance / financial services sector ideally.
- Expertise in financial controls, governance, and risk management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide expert advice and build relationships across functions.
- A keen understanding of process automation and data analytics, with the ability to implement lean methodologies to drive efficiencies.
Remuneration Package
Highly competitive remuneration package. This is a 6-month FTC with an ASAP start.
