Head of Compliance & Risk

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Provide effective and clear direction for the compliance, risk, and AML functions, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives and it's road map for building it's AUM portfolio. Build, develop, and lead a high-performing compliance team, fostering a culture of compliance and ethical behavior.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with business leaders, the board, and regulators (CBI) to ensure compliance and mitigation of risks.
  • Risk Management: Develop and implement comprehensive risk framework and risk-based monitoring programs along with internal operating procedures.
  • Compliance Assurance: Oversee and lead on regular compliance testing and reporting to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
  • AML/CFT: Establish and maintain robust AML/CFT policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate and timely regulatory returns to the CBI. Maintain a deep understanding of local and international regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards.
  • Project Management: Oversee and lead compliance-related projects, ensuring successful implementation and adherence to timelines.
  • Policy Development: Define and implement clear compliance policies and procedures that align with the company's risk appetite and regulatory requirements.

Experience / Skills 

  • Degree level, with 10 years' + experience in fund administration, fund management compliance, with at least 5 years in a senior management capacity, with a strong understanding of the Irish regulatory & EU reg landscape. Well versed in working alongside boards and risk committees.
  • Ideally PCF holder- (PCF-12, PCF-14 and /or PCF-52) or an experience level to step into a PCF role.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing effective compliance programs.
  • Strong knowledge of AML/CFT regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, adept communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize a d work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Remuneration Package

A very comprehensive and competitive remuneration package is on offer with excellent flexible hybrid working arrangements. Average 2 days office, 3 days home.
