About the Position
This key hire will report directly to the CEO and is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious CFO. As a key member of the executive team, you will be responsible for leading the financial strategy, planning, and management of a leading Irish company. This individual will play a critical role in driving financial performance, ensuring the company's financial health, and supporting the execution of growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for all financial operations, and financial reporting.
- Lead financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning, delivering actionable insights to the CEO and Board.
- Develop and execute the financial strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s corporate goals and growth initiatives.
- Oversee capital structure, optimise the working capital funding strategy, balance sheet management and long-term financial planning.
- Ensure robust internal controls, compliance frameworks and adherence to legal requirements.
- Participate as a senior executive in supplier contract negotiations and provides executive sponsorship in managing supplier relationships
Experience/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Qualified Accountant with 10 years+ progressive financial leadership experience within multi-location retail and/or Building Materials sector.
- Demonstrated success in managing financial operations of businesses with annual turnover of +€50m.
- Experience of M&A transactions and integrating businesses into existing operations.
- Experience with supporting commercial teams to create, execute, and optimise profitable growth strategies.
- Exceptional communicator, strong interpersonal and active listening skills, able to create impact and demonstrate proactive stakeholder relationship awareness.
